We celebrated Rotaract's District 9800 Changeover (Melbourne City and Gateway Rotaract Clubs) on 11th August 2018 in Moonee Ponds. What are the odds that two (2) club projects/events would occur on the same day, that exactly happened to us on Sunday, 29th July 2018. It was a fulfilling day for the club and we enjoyed it so much! This is why we join Rotary because we are PEOPLE OF ACTION! Before the 2018-19 year kicked in, the board made a pact to embrace flexibility in how we schedule, conduct and meet for board meetings. Though the case, Rotary International does require the board to meet monthly - so it got us thinking how we can do the change? In Rotary Club of Southbank's constitution, it does allow the board to meet online if there is no quorum for face-to-face or there is a strong preference to meet online. Southbank Yoga and Mindfulness Day kicks off year of connecting community

We kicked off our first club project/event at Boyd Community Hub in Southbank on Saturday 14th July 2018. What a great start to kickoff the 2018-19 term with our Bollywood themed changeover on 7th July 2018 at the Belgian Beer Cafe in Southbank. We had 90 people in attendance - mixture of Rotarians, family and guests spreading across whole Victoria, interstate (NSW & WA) and internationally (Malaysia & Indonesia).
