Guest Speaker: Costa Englezos,
Costa was a university lecturer for 38 years, teaching Accounting and Business Finance at Melbourne University, RMIT, La Trobe Graduate School of Management and a range of other universities.
At RMIT he ran weekend orientation camps for his students. This led to the creation of an extensive student mentor program across the Business Faculty, culminating in the establishment of the SLAMs program Student Learning Advisor Mentors.
With a passionate desire to help students as whole people, and motivated to empower students to help others, Costa had 250 students involved as mentors in his final full-time year at RMIT.
Married for 40 years and having raised 5 sons, Costa has now returned to RMIT as a chaplain, and is serving as pastor of a new church plant in the city. He is also establishing Let's Talk QV, English conversation small groups, which are designed to encourage international students and workers to grow in their confidence and competence in speaking English.
Visiting Rotarians and Guests are welcome to come and join us to hear Costa talk to our club on the topic of 'The Giver is the Getter'
