We weren't sure if it would go ahead due to excessive rain and the cold, however the weather got better around 5:30pm and off we went. What are the odds that two (2) club projects/events would occur on the same day, that exactly happened to us on Sunday, 29th July 2018. It was a fulfilling day for the club and we enjoyed it so much! Fighting for our Farmers

In Australia, farmers are the lifeblood of our country and they are in crisis. Record breaking heat and lack of rain means farmers are struggling to feed sheep and cattle, and keep crops alive.  Families on the land are suffering and they need our help.  Channel 9 and Rotary Australia have partnered with the National Farmers' Federation, launching an appeal to big business and everyday Australians, so we can provide some emergency relief. 100% of donations goes to the farmers...

We kicked off our first club project/event at Boyd Community Hub in Southbank on Saturday 14th July 2018. Rotary Club of Southbank member Kay Ledson has completed the journey of a lifetime to walk the entire breadth of America from Carlsbad, California to Washington DC, A total of 7 million Steps. Activity Based Therapy Aussie Mum Kay is passionate about her son Josh and his efforts to recover from a snowboarding accident in June 2000.  So much, she has managed to successfully walk across America to help promote and develop recovery options for people with Spinal Cord Injury....
