Club Meeting - Guest Speaker - Lloyd Baggot - Keys to good decision making

Online Club Meeting via Zoom

Topic & Speaker:  Lloyd Baggot - Keys to good decision making

I started my professional life as a Financial Analyst in a Development Bank and gradually transitioned to law as a Corporate and Finance Lawyer. I am based in Melbourne, with over 40 years legal experience.

I joined MinterEllison's corporate and finance team in Brisbane and later assisted in the establishment of the Northern Territory and Gold Coast offices. Across Queensland and the Northern Territory and in Hong Kong, I have played a leading advisory role on major infrastructure, tourism and leisure projects.

Based in Melbourne since 1994, I have provided legal advice for many landmark and iconic projects. The most notable of them include the Royal Pines Resort at Ashmore Queensland, the Surfers Paradise and Port Douglas Mirage Project developments, the Melbourne Docklands Redevelopment, the Port of Melbourne Channel Deepening project, the Geelong Waterfront Steampacket Place Redevelopment, the Parliament Square redevelopment in Hobart, the sale of the iconic CUB Swanston St site for redevelopment, and most recently the sale of a long lease of the Port of Melbourne.

I particularly enjoy workshopping and devising innovative economic and commercially strategic solutions to legal and business challenges. I also enjoy being part of a dynamic hard working and effective team particularly where the team draws on experienced and youthful people to achieve the best possible outcomes.
