Online Club Meeting via Zoom
Topic & Speaker: Tracy Bell -
Tracy Bell is a creative, technology leader with a strong interest in how we build a culture of continuous learning that is able to embrace the challenges of the 21st century. She is inspired by the likes of Ken Robinson ("Do schools kill creativity?") and Warren Berger (Author of 'A More Beautiful Question') to keep asking whether we're doing enough to build capabilities that can solve some of the wicked problems of our time. The geo-political landscape, climate change, social inequality and technological advancements have presented us with complex problems to solve and we must embrace creative ways of thinking to solve them.
Our school system is tied to a model born from the industrial revolution. A University degree finishes and 'thinking' stops when you get a job. This leaves a void for the kind of exploratory thinking that creates passion and purpose in life.
Tracy hopes to build a community of thought leaders and change makers able to share insights in a non-competitive setting where each person can embrace a growth mindset. She believes the biggest crisis of our time is in the way we think and there is a need to break this open by being willing to challenge each other (kindly) in spaces where clever people can share ideas, think wildly and creatively as a community to find breakthrough ideas that may change the world.
What do you think is the biggest crisis of our time?
