The Rotary Club of Southbank is pleased to present our next community event at the Boyd Community Hub.
You're invited to join us for a mid-morning of yoga and mindfulness sessions. Share in a morning of nourishment, community and connection, plus it's a great start to the weekend.
Wellbeing / Fitness / Yoga Community Day at Boyd
11 am Parents and Kids Yoga
Parents and kids yoga is about connecting with your loved ones. This playful session will include yoga games and practices to introduce parents and children basic yoga poses and fun breathing techniques. We breathe, move, play, laugh and smile together with the people who means the most to us.
This session is suitable for all: parents, grandparents and children (ideal age is 3 - 10). Come in comfortable clothes that allow free movement.
Please bring your own mat, if you have one or a large towel.
12.15 pm 30 Days More Mindful
During this session, we will be exploring the concept of mindfulness and how we can use a variety of simple techniques to integrate mindfulness into your everyday life. This session is open to all levels of experience and will include a short guided meditation, helpful information and activities to help establish connection within self, relationships and most importantly increase joy for the present moment.
1.15 pm Yoga 101 for Beginners of All Ages
This Yoga 101 session introduces new students of all ages to the basics of a modern yoga practice. This is a great opportunity for complete beginners or those with some yoga experience wanting to get back into a regular practice to explore foundational postures and learn how to safely create these poses in your own body. This will be a slow and grounding practice, focusing on the mind and body connection.
Please wear comfortable clothes that allow free movement and bring your own mat, if you have one or a large towel.
