Angel Flight is a charity that coordinates non-emergency flights to help country people trying to deal with the triple trouble of bad health, poor finances and daunting distance. All flights are free and may involve patients travelling to medical facilities anywhere in Australia. Angel Flight pilots do not carry aeromedical staff or medical equipment so do not act as an alternative to the Royal Flying Doctor Service or Air Ambulance in that capacity. With its current resources Angel Flight can coordinate up to twenty flights per day., and complementary ground transport from and to airports.

Warren Sparrow (Earth Angel) retired from Air Traffic Control in 2010 and has been volunteering with Angel Flight for 10 years. He has completed over 300 missions and also volunteers as driver for a local Doncaster community health group. He loves spending time with his family and pampering his grandchildren. Hobbies or pastimes includes ocean cruising, researching on his family ancestry and enjoying good Shiraz.

The Rotary International Convention is a once a year opportunity to conect together with Rotarians from all across the world, share ideas and learn from the experiences of others.

On-line registration for the Rotary International Convention in Hamburg 1st to 5th June 2019 opens on 23rd June at www.riconvention.org/en/hamburg/register

Substantial discounts apply for those who register early:

  • 28th June to 15th December 2018 the registration fee is $US395
  • 16th December 2018 to 31st March 2019 the fee is $US495
  • 1st April to 5th June 2019 the fee is $US595

Cancellations are possible up to 30th April 2019.  They attract a $50 service fee.
