Rotary Celebrating LGBTIQA+ Pride @ Midsumma Melbourne 2020
In the spirit of Rotary's commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, you, your family and friends are invited to celebrate the diversity of our Rotary and Rotaract families at the Melbourne Midsumma Pride March along Fitzroy Street, St Kilda on Sunday 2nd February, 2020
Midsumma is an annual summer arts and cultural festival for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and other queer communities with entertaining, fun and diverse performance, visual arts and social events across Melbourne over three weeks in January and early February. No matter where you are from, your age or your background, we can all come together to celebrate the diversity and strength of our community. This is our opportunity as Rotarians and Rotaractors unite in solidarity with members of LGBTIQA+ communities together with friends, supporters and allies to join the colourful and vibrant march representing Rotary and the communities we serve.

We will also have a stall at the Midsumma Carnival on Sunday 19th January at Alexandra Gardens by the banks of the Yarra to showcase Rotary and Rotaract in the community and promote membership. Midsumma Carnival is a vibrant, festive, friendly, colourful day of community connection, picnics, dance parties and more for all ages, attracting over 120,000 people. We are seeking volunteers throughout the day to assist us on the stall. Please contact Past President Steven Aquilina with your availability if you are free to help us on the day, or alternatively come past our stall during the carnival and say hello!
